Harpoon

This machine was developed in response to a takt time audit of a small scale custom packaging line. Implementing the “Harpoon” improved throughput and made for a more repeatable controlled process.

There are three actions taking place on this piece of equipment 1) a proximal trim using a straight blade to achieve the appropriate length, 2) a distal trim using a custom die to eliminate flash, and 3) a 45deg puncture to produce an air vent.
